Community Guidelines for Online Engagement

InnovAge has created online communities to communicate with stakeholders and foster engagement. We also have an established set of guidelines to ensure respectful and civil commenting online. All commenters are requested to abide by these guidelines. As you participate in conversations on InnovAge digital platforms, please keep in mind the following:

Do not discuss protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable information (PII). In accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other applicable state and federal privacy laws, InnovAge asks that you do not share any PHI or PII about yourself or others in comments on InnovAge profiles. If such information is included in any comment, InnovAge will hide, delete, or permanently remove the comment. Do not seek medical advice. Please remember that InnovAge’s online communities are not a source for medical advice and are not intended to act as a replacement for advice from your doctor. Information on our social media communities should not be considered medical advice. If you are experiencing a medical problem, please consult a healthcare professional for diagnosis and treatment.

Be polite. InnovAge reserves the right to hide, delete, or permanently remove comments that include profanity, personal attacks, name-calling, or hate speech. Commenters will receive one warning, after which repeat offenders will be blocked from commenting on InnovAge channels.

Ask questions. In cases where the answer to your question may help educate others, we will reply publicly in a response that is visible in the comment thread. In cases where questions involve a personal matter, we will reply directly in a private message. Please do not share any PHI or PII in your questions and comments.

Share feedback. We encourage commenters to communicate with us about experiences at InnovAge. We welcome opportunities to learn from our stakeholders, identify issues and solutions, and improve InnovAge services. If we receive a public comment with a specific complaint, we will reach out to the commenter directly in a private message for more information so that we may address the issue. You can also reach us at communications@MyInnovAge.com. Do not include PHI or PII in any comment posted on InnovAge channels.

Stay on topic. We want it to be easy for InnovAge followers to find relevant and useful information on our pages. We reserve the right to remove any comment that deters from our community’s intent. Comments will be hidden or deleted if they are about unrelated topics, make unsupported accusations or claims, contain misleading information, promote external products, or include spam.
