Patrick Blair

President and CEO

Patrick was elevated to president and CEO of InnovAge Jan. 1, 2022: “It is an incredible honor to have been chosen to take on this leadership opportunity in such an amazing organization. This country’s older adults need PACE now more than ever. InnovAge is a great business made up of great people and to be here is incredibly inspiring and a tremendous privilege.”

Prior to joining InnovAge in 2021, Patrick was with BAYADA Home Health Care. There, he was the Group President responsible for overall quality and financial performance of the Home Health, Hospice and Personal Care businesses. He previously served as senior vice president for Commercial Business Segments at Anthem, Inc., one of the nation’s largest and most diversified health benefit providers. There, he led the Individual, Small Group and Large Group business segments where he was responsible for driving profitable growth. During his tenure at Anthem, Inc., he also served as chief marketing officer. Before his eight years with Anthem, Patrick served in a number of leadership roles with Amerigroup Corporation. These included chief marketing and business development officer and CEO of specialty products. Patrick started his career at Ernst & Young LLP and Deloitte Consulting serving the nation’s leading provider and payer healthcare organizations.
 
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Indiana University Bloomington, a Master’s of Health Care Administration and Management from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Henley Business School. Patrick lives in Boulder, Colo., with his wife and two daughters. He has a passion for the outdoors, including downhill skiing and mountain biking.

Barbara Gutierrez

Chief Financial Officer

Growing up in a small town, I was fortunate to be very near to my grandparents. My grandmother lived with our family, so I frequently spent quality time with her and her friends. Through the years, I developed a real fondness of the elderly and an appreciation for the challenges of aging. I am so proud of the extraordinary care and support we provide our participants.

Barbara has more than 30 years of experience in executive and financial leadership roles. She has a deep background in healthcare organizations and has worked in various industries, including higher education and energy services. Prior to joining InnovAge, Barbara served as chief financial officer and chief people services officer for Hero DVO, LLC, a practice management group focused on delivering efficient, quality dental and vision care to children in underserved communities. Previously, Barbara has served in senior leadership roles with Strad Energy Services, Jones Knowledge Group, PhyCor and HealthOne. She has special expertise with high-growth companies, and has led transformational business initiatives and strategic acquisitions. Barbara is a certified public accountant, chartered global management accountant, and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Denver. She has served on numerous non-profit and advisory boards, and currently serves on the advisory board for the University of Denver School Of Accountancy. Barbara is a member of the Board of Directors for LogicMark and chairs the Audit Committee of the Board.

Maria Lozzano

Chief Operating Officer

Our seniors deserve the best possible care so that they can be independent and live life on their own terms. I am passionate about PACE and want to ensure that InnovAge provides responsible patient care and clinical excellence for all participants.

Maria Lozzano joined the InnovAge team in 2018. As the corporate chief operating officer, Maria is based out of San Bernardino and works closely with InnovAge operations leadership to support the growth of the organization. Maria has more than 11 years in healthcare operations, most recently as chief operations officer with VNA California. The home health, palliative care, and hospice organization serves 800 people in Riverside and San Bernardino counties in California, and Maria oversaw the 300-member team that delivered these services. In addition to VNA California, she has also worked with acute, chronic, home infusion pharmacy, and in-home surgical aftercare organizations, and has experience with business development and in leading clinical operation teams.

Richard Feifer, MD, MPH, FAPC

Chief Medical Officer

As a family member, a primary care physician, and a healthcare leader, I’ve experienced the many challenges associated with aging. PACE provides a much-needed solution, and I’m passionate about bringing the program to more seniors who can benefit from its patient-centric approach to care.

As a physician executive with broad healthcare industry experience, Dr. Richard Feifer helps organizations achieve their fullest potential in an ever-changing environment. Rich is a board-certified internist with clinical experience in primary care, geriatrics, and urgent care medicine.  As a health system leader, he has also developed expertise in population health management, value-based payment models, clinical analytics, and technology-driven healthcare transformation.
 
Rich has dedicated his career to improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare and the health of populations he has served. Most recently, as executive vice president and chief medical officer of Genesis HealthCare, he led one of the nation's largest skilled nursing and long-term care providers, operating over 400 facilities in 25 states in 2019. As president of Genesis Physician Services, a Genesis subsidiary with over 450 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in 2019, he navigated the successful transition to value-based care delivery. In that capacity, he also launched and served as chief medical officer of the only national accountable care organization focused on nursing home residents, LTC ACO.

Prior to joining Genesis, Rich was Aetna’s chief medical officer of National Accounts, leading the department of Clinical Consulting, Strategy, and Analysis, which helped large employers improve the health and productivity of their employees and dependents. Before Aetna, Rich served as vice president of Clinical Program Innovation and Evaluation at Medco, where he was responsible for the organization’s portfolio of care enhancement programs.

A graduate of Brown University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Rich received his master’s in health services management from Columbia University. He is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Connecticut and a board member of the Accreditation Commission on Health Care. Rich lives in southern New England with his wife and two dogs, enjoying year-round outdoor activities including hiking, boating, skiing, and golf. He is an avid traveler, with favorite destinations including scuba diving in Belize, birdwatching in the Galapagos Islands, and hiking in the US southwest.

Nicole D'Amato

Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary

Our seniors deserve the best possible care and I am privileged to support our medical, operations, and compliance teams, as well as our executive leaders and the board of directors, to successfully deliver that care through the PACE model.

Nicole D’Amato has served as InnovAge’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary since July 2021. Prior to joining InnovAge Nicole was senior vice president at MacAndrews & Forbes, providing legal advice for the operating company which owned the majority shares of Revlon, Inc., was the largest shareholder of Scientific Games, and owned other private companies such as Merisant Company.

Prior to that, she worked as a director and senior counsel at DIAGEO North America, Inc., the world’s leading alcohol beverage business, from 2011 to 2015, and as global head of intellectual property and assistant corporate secretary at Samsonite, LLC, from 2010 to 2011, where she participated in the company’s initial public offering on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Nicole started her legal career at Ropes & Gray LLP, where she practiced as an intellectual property and corporate transactional attorney. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Nicole serves her community as a member of the Junior League, co-chair of the Christ Church Preschool Parent’s Association, and as a Food Rescue US volunteer.

Kathy Andreasen

Chief People Officer

InnovAge’s mission of supporting seniors through the PACE model of care is energizing and deeply resonates with me. It is a pleasure to work with such talented and passionate healthcare leaders bringing this form of all-inclusive care to more seniors.

Kathy Andreasen has more than 25 years of operating experience as a human resources officer of dynamic and fast growth public and private companies with a successful track record with in cross-functional M&A and integration planning, executive and equity compensation, governance, and succession planning. She is a strategically oriented culture executive with expertise in building organizations and leadership teams, working with employees at all levels to improve organizational effectiveness and the employee experience, and building strong brand and customer-focused cultures.
 
Over the course of her career, Kathy has led HR functions at household name technology and software-as-a-service companies such as AOL, Bill Me Later/Paypal, Realtor.com, and Orbitz. Before joining InnovAge, she was chief administrative and people officer at Endurance International Group (now called Newfold Digital), a global provider of SAS cloud-based solutions. At Endurance, Kathy led the HR and Corporate Services teams through a period of high growth from a small domestic company to a large public, global company, including the acquisition of Constant Contact and a successful IPO.
 
Prior to Endurance, Kathy was the senior vice president for intellectual capital for Cendant Corporation, employing over 90,000 people in over 90 countries, operating global brands such as Avis, Budget, Travelport, Century 21, RCI, and Wyndham Resorts.
 
A graduate of University of New Mexico’s School of Management and McGill University, Katherine holds a bachelor’s in psychology and an executive MBA. Kathy lives in Massachusetts with her husband and two children. She enjoys sailing, skiing, and hiking.

Rob Borella

Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

I am honored to lead the team championing our mission to help older adults receive care on their terms while providing a strong sense of security to their families. InnovAge and the PACE model of care are the perfect solution for seniors and their caregivers who want to continue living independently and remain in the homes where they built an entire lifetime of memories

Rob comes to InnovAge with more than 25 years in high growth sales and a proven track record of transforming organizations and enhancing customer experiences. 

Before joining InnovAge, Rob served as chief sales and marketing officer at a global disability services firm which helps veterans and civilians with medical and legal services. While there, he increased sales more than 140%, launched global reengagement efforts, and created new satisfaction studies and for the company. 

Rob’s experience includes leading marketing efforts for brands in healthcare, retail, technology, and transportation, including Giant Eagle pharmacy and wellness stores, healthcare IT leader HCTec, and Brookdale, the largest senior living and home healthcare provider in the country.

Rob has served on and chaired several boards, sharing his knowledge with universities, Junior Achievement organizations, and corporate businesses. He currently holds an advisory board seat with the University of South Florida’s digital marketing program; he also sits on the Advisory Committee for the Customer Experience Certificate Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. 

Rob attended and holds degrees and certifications from La Salle University, the University of Maryland, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of South Florida. He lives with his family in the healthcare hub of Nashville.

Matt Huray

Chief Business Development Officer

PACE sits at the intersection of two critical themes in healthcare: the shift to value-based care and the ability to keep frail seniors in the home. I’m thrilled to be part of InnovAge’s efforts to expand access to this innovative care model that enables older adults to age safely in place.

Matt brings over 20 years of strategic finance and analytical experience to InnovAge. He most recently held senior leadership roles at Humana, including chief financial officer of the healthcare services segment and enterprise corporate development.

Prior to Humana, Matt spent 13 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, most recently as a managing director of investment banking for the Global Healthcare Group. While there, he executed advisory assignments and financings within the healthcare services sector. 

Matt has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Olivia Patton

Chief Compliance Officer

When thinking about PACE, I think of my family. PACE is focused on helping seniors live independently, thus allowing families to be together with less stress of coordinating medical care. I am happy to be a part of InnovAge in hopes of making a difference for seniors and family unity. 

Olivia brings a depth of leadership experience in healthcare compliance, including developing training for CMS and Medicare policies. She most recently was corporate compliance officer for UnitedHealthcare in Phoenix, AZ, and previously held the role as chief compliance officer for Verus Healthcare in Nashville, TN.  Olivia has also provided consulting services on Medicare compliance with various healthcare organizations. In addition, she is an adjunct faculty member at Arizona State University teaching undergraduate healthcare and regulation courses.
 
Olivia holds a Doctorate in Health Administration (DHA) degree from the University of Phoenix, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Further, she is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association.
