New Program for Seniors Opens in Sacramento, Calif.

InnovAge’s PACE center is a partnership with Adventist Health and Eskaton

Denver, Colo. - A new option is now available for Sacramento-area seniors. In partnership with Adventist Health and Eskaton, InnovAge’s new Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is designed to keep seniors living in their own homes and communities for as long as safely possible. The program is an alternative to nursing facilities. Participants are primarily dually eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid, though U.S. military veterans and others can also qualify.

“For more than 20 years, PACE has been the core of our business,” said InnovAge CEO and President Maureen Hewitt. “Right now, frail seniors and their families need us more than ever. Our passion and mission at InnovAge is to provide services to the most vulnerable seniors to help them age in their own homes with dignity. We are excited to collaborate with Adventist Health and Eskaton to bring this new PACE program to seniors in the Sacramento area.”

The new PACE center is located at 3870 Rosin Court in Sacramento. While the building itself is closed due to COVID-19, the program is open and enrolling seniors. Care is being provided via telehealth an in-person visits, along with wellness calls, home-delivered meals, medications, and more.

“This new PACE center will transform the health of our Sacramento community by providing more independence and support for seniors in a time of uncertainty. We’re excited to join InnovAge and Eskaton in this innovative service that takes care outside hospital walls and into our community,” said Scott Reiner, CEO of Adventist Health, which is based in Roseville, Calif.

Todd Murch, president and CEO of Eskaton, added, “PACE is undoubtedly the best community-based program available to provide healthcare and social services to seniors who would otherwise not be able to live at home. Eskaton is proud to collaborate with Adventist Health and InnovAge to bring this new center to the Sacramento region. The innovation and scale InnovAge’s PACE centers bring to communities like Sacramento is desperately needed to provide quality of life for seniors, reduce hospitalization and healthcare costs.”
