As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, our focus and mission at InnovAge remain the same: providing care and support to frail seniors across the country.
The Program of All-inclusive Care (PACE) is a lifeline for the older adults we serve. While we have closed our physical centers, we continue to provide individualized medical care for more than 6,300 seniors enrolled in InnovAge PACE. Our teams conduct routine/urgent care visits and make regular wellness phone calls for those participants that need them. Last week we launched a new telehealth program in all locations. That means we can continue to provide the care seniors need at a safe distance when appropriate and maintain the safety of our healthcare workers.
To care for our participants, we need to care for our employees. Most employees have shifted to working remotely. Other care team members are delivering in-home care to those who need it. For these front-line employees, we provide guidance, checklists, equipment and supplies to keep them as safe as possible.
InnovAge is offering help for employees and members of their households, including child care support. We have identified alternative work assignments to support a primarily remote workforce and are providing supplemental pay to key participant-facing roles.
Right now, frail seniors and their families need us more than ever. The PACE model provides flexibility in care delivery and it is an ideal care model for self-distancing. Our mission has always been to keep seniors independent in their homes and communities for as long as it is safely possible. Our internal plans and policies are driving our actions, as are requirements and guidance from the CDC, federal and state agencies.
We are partnering with caregivers and family members to ensure our seniors receive needed services and support. For more on InnovAge’s efforts to support participants and caregivers, see our
COVID-19 update page to access frequently asked questions that are updated regularly.
I believe InnovAge will get through this pandemic stronger than before. There will be lessons learned and best practices that we can use to evolve the PACE model. We are doing everything possible to support each other and the frail seniors we serve. Part of what makes InnovAge a
Great Place to Work is the incredible dedication and commitment of our employees.
Thank you to all of our employees for their incredible teamwork. Thank you to our family caregivers and participants for choosing PACE and for partnering with us to provide the best care possible during this challenging time.
